Are headline sounds strange? I have been looking for some good mobile blogs. But later started thinking about why do not I have a mobile blog. I found some useful plugins which can make wordpress websites to compatible for mobile device browsers.  Off course normal web sites are difficult to view on a mobile browser. To view a website in mobile browser then it needs to be transcoded for requested mobile device or optimized for a mobile interface. Device carriers or Mobile web sites are using transcoding services or transcoding software’s for display web contents on mobile browser. Even mobile devices like blackberry has own setup or gateway for displaying requested web content. (Punch line: if you have own wap website or mobile website, need not worry about it)

Now a question arise, Are all plugins are transcoding or formatting  web content to display properly on a mobile devices? Actually debate required! … Good mobile plug-in can satisfy you still some extent. I had tried to use some plug-ins and am found to be useful.

1. WordPress Mobile Edition

WordPress Mobile Edition is a plugin that shows an interface designed for a mobile device when visitors come to your site on a mobile device. Mobile browsers are automatically detected, list of mobile browsers can be customized on the settings page. It will work with wide ranch of mobile phones. Even you have provision to add user agent for the devices which are not able to detect. It has uses separate theme to load page on mobile browsers.
