Browser War-II: Google Chrome Frame

Google is running ahead of Microsoft.

If  Microsoft fails to  maintain their browser IE up-to-speed with the rest of the world, Google’s going to do it for all. A  project from Google called Google Chrome Frame which enabling open  web technologies in internet explorer. Google chrome frame is a plugin for Internet Explorer that allows developers to override Microsoft’s rendering engine with  HTML5 compatibility and faster JavaScript. To make use of Google Chrome Frame, developers or testers  simply put a meta tag “  <meta http-equiv=”X-UA-Compatible” content=”chrome=1″> ” in their page source code. If the user is using  Internet Explorer and the plugin is installed.Web pages with this special tag will automatically make use of Google Chrome.Render faster than early internet explorer. It will bring  Google Chrome’s open web technologies and speedy JavaScript engine to Internet Explorer. Google chrome frame will support IE6, 7 & and 8 versions

For testing Google chrome Frame

E.g. : To see Gmail in Google Chrome Frame, go to Internet Explorer and navigate to URL  “cf:http://gmail.com”
