DeviceAnywhere 5.0 is available with new UI

deviceAnywhere new lookDeviceAnywhere offers a simple, efficient tool for  mobile application testing, test automation, QoS monitoring, application certification and post-development sales and support.  DeviceAnywhere 5.0 is now available with new enhanced UI and features.Added more convenient goodies for mobile application testing with better UI( :) improved look and feel of the application…..a tester perspective )

DeviceAnywhere Studio  Updates

  • Moved many of the controls from the device right-click menu to a new device console. Forexample, hardware controls are now contained in a tab that both allow you to toggle the control
  • A new Communications tab makes it easy to set up a local connection to a device
  • A new Keyboard tab provides details on the keyboard commands sent to the device as you are typing. You can easily view your key mode (alpha, numeric, or web,) and switch between modes. In addition, a text box allows you to copy in or type your entire message before sending to the device, in case you want to double-check your text before sending. (This feature is really helpful )
  • The properties tab has been combined in to a more comprehensive Info tab
  • The Device Access view is now called the Test Center view.
  • Device phone number is now clearly visible for acquired devices.DeviceAnywher Test case manager

  • Enhanced Project Management,Projects create the organization of your test assets within DeviceAnywhere Studio. For instance,projects can be used to organize all of your test plans around a specific application, including the test cases, the devices you intend to support and test the application on, and any automated script
  • Ability to create projects inside DeviceAnywhere Studio.
  • Advanced permissions settings. This includes the ability to share projects with DeviceAnywhere users NOT on your account (for cross-company collaboration), and the ability to set read/write or write-only permissions to your project for other users on your account.
  • Allows you to create your own customized device lists within DeviceAnywhere Studio.
  • External source control option. Users may choose to save their project files to an external location, and utilize their own source control utility, or may continue to save their files locally to the DeviceAnywhere database.
  • Improved device Search
  • Test Case Manager,A new view in DeviceAnywhere Studio, this feature provides a framework designed to assist the QA process. In the Test Case Manager view, customers can design a test plan, including the tests (test cases, test steps) as well as the proof required for each step (screenshot, video). QA will see this test plan within Studio, and can execute the tests with specific prompts to capture the required proofs . The Test Case Manager view allows your test plans and testing to be carried out in one convenient interface, where all of your QA can collaborate. The Test Case Manager can also be a convenient starting point for customers that plan to automate all or some of their test cases; manual test cases can be converted to automated actions.
  • The process of loading an app onto a device is made simpler with this feature available through the DeviceAnywhere Studio interface.
  • Send SMS to Phone,Useful for interrupt testing, or for sending links to a device, this feature provides a simple method of sending an SMS to an acquired phone.
  • Improved mobile web testing
